The winner of Playwrights' Playground Festival will receive a full week long workshop where they will get to work on their script with professional actors and directors as they rehearse for the staged reading of their play that will then open next year's festival in 2023.
Last year's winning script Woman Falling by Isabella Capelli will be opening this years festival
with a LIVE performance in Summer of 2022! Date & Time TBD

WHAT IS P.P.F?
Last year's inaugural Playwrights' Playground Festival was an online summer showcase of new works from playwrights ages 16-22, this year we are LIVE! Four plays were chosen from multiple submissions from various playwrights around the U.S. These scripts were each given a live zoom reading that paired professional actors and directors with the youth playwrights in order to explore their script in more detail and rehearse for the reading. The scripts are also read, discussed, and watched by our selected Youth Panel and a vote is made as to what script moves onto more development. There is also a second vote, YOU, our audience gets to vote as to what script YOU want to see move forward!
